2018 also introduced many of us to talented artists like Mitchell Tenpenny, Jimmie Allen, Adam Hambrick, Runaway June, Muscadine Bloodline, Tyler Rich, Carly Pearce, and Cody Johnson, just to name a few.

3 | Travis Denning
Hailing from Warner Robbins, Georiga, this country rocker is making a splash with his current single, “David Ashley Parker from Powder Springs,” which tells the story of consuming alcohol underage by using the fake ID of a guy named David Ashley Parker. You can almost always find Travis Denning sporting his Bass Pro Shops, and this year you can catch him at many country festivals including Stagecoach, Country Stampede, and Country Fest. If you have been following Country Clones for a while, then you know that we are big fans of the country trio, Runaway June. Their single “Buy My Own Drinks” was one of our favorite songs of 2018, across all music genres. Their stellar vocals and rockin live performances (they are hitting the road this year with Carrie Underwood) have us eager to find out what’s in store in 2019 for these incredibly talented ladies. After putting the football down for good after an injury ended his career prematurely, Jon Langston has dedicated his life to being a country music artist. He has gained a massive following throughout his home state of Georgia and has even captured the attention of Luke Bryan, who recently signed Jon to his brand new record label. 9 | Lainey Wilson
A true storyteller, hailing from the small Louisiana farm town of Baskin, this new country artist has some serious soul that perfectly compliments her authentic lyrics and traditional country sound. 10 | Cort Carpenter
An independent artist with roots in the Pacific Northwest, Cort Carpenter has a fresh sound that is sure to capture the attention of new country fans. His fun party songs like “Let Me See Your Koozie” and “What Were We Drinking” keep the crowds craving more and if you’re in Nashville, you can likely catch him taking the stage at the honky tonk bars on lower Broward.
